Harry Gregson-Williams

Harry Gregson-Williams is a prolific British composer and conductor known for his versatile scores across film, television, and video games. Born in 1961 into a musical family, he was educated at St John's College School and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before beginning his career as an assistant to Richard Harvey and a protege of Hans Zimmer. He gained international fame for his innovative blend of electronic and orchestral music, notably in the Shrek franchise, The Chronicles of Narnia series, and his long-standing collaboration with director Tony Scott on films like Man on Fire. Beyond the silver screen, he is highly regarded for his groundbreaking work on the Metal Gear Solid video game series and has received numerous accolades, including Golden Globe and Grammy nominations, as well as the BMI Icon Award for his enduring influence on the industry.
