Puccini
Giacomo Puccini (1858–1924) was a celebrated Italian composer widely regarded as the greatest successor to Verdi. Born in Lucca into a long line of musicians, he studied at the Milan Conservatory. Puccini mastered the realistic verismo style, composing timeless masterpieces like La Bohème (1896), Tosca (1900), and Madama Butterfly (1904) before his death left Turandot unfinished.
