Katherine Priddy

Katherine Priddy is a critically acclaimed English folk singer-songwriter from Birmingham who has rapidly become a leading voice in the contemporary British acoustic scene. Born in 1994 and influenced by her studies in English literature at the University of Sussex, she is celebrated for her "breathtaking" vocals, intricate fingerpicking, and a narrative songwriting style that blends personal themes of home and family with classical mythology. After her 2018 debut EP, Wolf, caught the attention of folk legend Richard Thompson—who named her the "best thing" he’d heard all year—she released her chart-topping debut album, The Eternal Rocks Beneath (2021), followed by the UK Folk Number 1 album The Pendulum Swing (2024).
