Andra Day
Andra Day (born Cassandra Monique Batie on December 30, 1984) is an acclaimed American R&B/soul singer, songwriter, and actress known for her powerful, smoky vocals and the hit anthem "Rise Up". Discovered by Stevie Wonder, she released her debut album, Cheers to the Fall, in 2015. Day earned critical acclaim for her acting debut as Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021), winning a Golden Globe and earning an Oscar nomination.
