
Jenny Slate
Born in 1982 in Milton, Massachusetts, Jenny Slate is a versatile American actress, comedian, and New York Times bestselling author known for her unique blend of whimsical humor and emotional vulnerability. After graduating as valedictorian from Milton Academy and studying literature at Columbia University, she gained early fame as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (2009–2010) and through recurring roles in sitcoms like Parks and Recreation and Bob's Burgers. Her breakout film performance came in the 2014 indie hit Obvious Child, which earned her a Critics' Choice Movie Award. Beyond live-action, Slate is a prolific voice actress, famously co-creating and voicing the title character in the Academy Award-nominated Marcel the Shell with Shoes On franchise, and lending her voice to major animated films such as Zootopia and The Secret Life of Pets.
