Cameron Michelle Diaz (born August 30, 1972) is a retired American actress and former model who became one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars in the late 1990s and 2000s, known for her roles in The Mask, There's Something About Mary, and the Shrek franchise. After starting a successful modeling career at 16, she made her film debut in 1994, later receiving Golden Globe nominations for her performances in There's Something About Mary, Being John Malkovich, Vanilla Sky, and Gangs of New York. A versatile star known for her work in comedies and dramas, Diaz also authored health books before stepping away from acting, later marrying musician Benji Madden in 2015.
