Bruce Willis
Walter Bruce Willis (born March 19, 1955) is a retired American actor and producer who became one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, best known for his "everyman" grit and sardonic wit. Born in West Germany and raised in New Jersey, he initially overcame a childhood stutter through acting and rose to fame as a comedic detective in the TV series Moonlighting (1985–1989). His career reached global heights in 1988 with his portrayal of John McClane in the Die Hard franchise, a role that redefined the action hero as a vulnerable, relatable figure. Beyond action, Willis showcased his versatility in critically acclaimed films such as Pulp Fiction (1994), The Sixth Sense (1999), and 12 Monkeys (1995). He was married to actress Demi Moore from 1987 to 2000 and has been married to Emma Heming since 2009, with whom he shares five daughters in total. In 2022, his family announced his retirement from acting following a diagnosis of aphasia, which later progressed to frontotemporal dementia.
